Musical awakening to Brazilian rhythms
Thiago has a degree in Music Education from the IPA university (Porto Alegre, Brazil), a postgraduate degree in Music, Teaching and Expression from the Feevale University (Novo Hamburgo, Brazil) and has International Certification levels I, II and III in the international certification program ORFF- SCHULERK by the Orff Institute of San Francisco (CA, USA).
It has 5 published materials: the CD book Trangalhadanças, the CD game Musicards, the musical and literary series CordelZines, the online mini-course on musical games for educators and the platform Faça Música Brincando, which offers pedagogical consultancy for artists and educators. In recent years, he has worked with over 5,000 educators and 5,000 children across Brazil and Latin America.
He has taught at internationally renowned events such as the International Wind and Percussion Festival (Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, COL, 2018), the Vale Veneto International Music Festival (UFSM, Santa Maria, Brazil, 2019) and the international postgraduate program graduation in ed. Musical by FLADEM Brasil (Forum Latino-Americano de Ed. Musical – Brasil, Rio de Janeiro, 2020), for the Orff Quebec Association, (Montreal, Canada 2022) and also for the Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto, Canada, 2022) .
He won the 2015 Açorianos Dance Award (Brazil) in the Best Soundtrack category with the show Normótico (MyHouse Group). In 2020 he received the Açorianos de Música (Brazil) award in the categories Best Children’s Album and Children’s Revelation by CD Musicards.
