Mini-session of Balkan choir with Dina Cindrić

This class is an introduction to traditional Balkan polyphonic singing.

The repertoire of the session will include response songs, vocal buzzes and a cappella polyphonic pieces. Participants will learn the techniques of open voice, throat shaking and ornamentation common to these colorful vocal traditions. The repertoires will be taught orally, so it is not necessary to be able to read music, and the lyrics will be provided on paper.
