Music Explorers

Programming 2018/2019

A series of 4 encounters with exceptional musicians for discovering, understanding and enjoying music from different traditions.

The first part of the evening is an invitation to discover the unique life path of a world musician from his native land to Montreal, and to better understand the specific contribution of his innovative musical culture. After a short break, immerse yourself into the beauty of his/her music with a performance.

Ethnomusicologist Frédéric Léotar will host each evening like an intimate encounter during which musicians will share their history and knowledge in an atmosphere of togetherness and trust.

*Each event lasts 90 minutes and is divided as follows: an interview with the musician led by Frédéric Léotar, a tea break, and a musical performance.
