Mini-session of traditional Quebec songs with Lysandre Chartrand
In a group class format, Lysandre Chartrand proposes an exploration of the repertoire, practice and history of traditional song. Between laments, songs to answer and turlutes, the first five classes aim to provide the learning tools to appropriate and develop this repertoire which can then be used during song vigils. It is also about discovering the particularities and richness of traditional songs in Quebec, in terms of melodies, lyrics or variety. The session ends with a traditional song vigil open to the public.
Fridays, from March 10 to April 14, 2022, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm
