Through this 2-hour workshop, discover the specificities of the Iranian violin in terms of styles, techniques, ornamentations and repertoires. Every musician in possession of a violin and interested in discovering the basics of Iranian traditional music is invited to this session presented by Showan Tavakol.
This discovery workshop is divided into 4 modules:
- History of the instrument
- Tunings of the instrument
- Learning of melodies from Iranian classical repertoire
- Notion for group improvisation
