The pandeiro is taught by Gabriel Schwartz, a multi-instrumentalist and Brazilian composer who graduated from the School of Music and Fine Arts of the State of Paraná. He studied classical repertoire for flute in parallel with the courses he attended at the Conservatory of Brazilian Music where he had the opportunity to immerse himself deeply in popular music.

The Pandeiro is a percussion belonging to the cultural heritage of Brazil. Very versatile, this instrument is able to reproduce the whole section of percussion with only three sounds: the bass, the medium and the treble. This instrument allows to execute all varieties of samba. It is also found in many other styles such as choro, partido alto, baião, frevo, capoeira etc.
