A meeting in Montreal between the music and song of the Basques and the Mig’mawag peoples. Claudine Arhancet sings of the mountains where she was born, with strength and gentleness. Mixel Etxekopar has been playing, singing and blowing his ancient instruments for a long time too. Both live their Basque identity by discovering the Other. Darlene Gijuminag will be there to welcome them with the voice and drums of her people. This project is the fruit of a creative residency offered by the Centre des musiciens to these three artists to encourage artistic and intercultural dialogue.
