Katya Kovshun

Katya Kovshun is a young performer and digital artist with extensive knowledge of Ukrainian folklore, who recently moved to Montreal.

Born in Ukraine, she began studying the traditional way of singing at the age of 6. In the same year, she joined the Bozhychi ensemble, with which she performed for several years at festivals across Ukraine and Europe.

After moving to Canada in 2016, Kateryna and her family conducted open voice workshops in Toronto. She has participated in various musical projects in Canada and the United States, including Balaklava Blues (Toronto), Kalyndar (Toronto), and Murmurosi (Montreal).
