Kozé’s mission is to share the legacy of Maloya. Listed as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2009, Maloya—a fusion of memories from the slaves of the past that has become an anthem of protest—possesses an almost sacred aura. It is a song, a music, a dance… an identity. Kozé’s music is as deep and refreshing as the ocean, as dense and precious as the forest, as sparkling and impetuous as a volcano.
