Since then, they have refined their collaboration into a singular musical language, intricate yet expansive, rooted in tradition yet alive with contemporary vitality.
Their interplay embodies an unspoken understanding; an artistry that transcends technique and invites audiences into a realm where music dissolves boundaries and speaks directly to the human spirit.

By plucking the multiple strings of her kanun, Turkey’s large zither, Didem Başar opens the doors to a world of crystal-clear sound. Heir to a centuries-old tradition, she makes her 78 strings sing with a finesse and emotion that transcend time.
Her repertoire, drawn from the sources of Turkish music, unfolds melodies with subtle inflections, where each note seems to carry the scent of Istanbul and the memory of its shores, like a moonlit reflection on the waters of the Bosphorus.
Between virtuosity and delicacy, her interpretations weave a living link between past and present, inviting the listener on a journey where ancient resonances dialogue with today’s sensibilities.

For Ori Shlava (Shalva Makharashvili, Andrea Kuzmich and their sons Shalva-Lucas and Gabo), singing is as natural as breathing, rooted in family celebrations rather than stage performances.
The authenticity of their music stems from years of dedication and a musical heritage handed down from generation to generation.

With A Night in the Garden of Eden pianist Guillaume Martineau and clarinetist Gabriel Paquin-Buki take us on a journey where musical boundaries fade away. Their duo navigates with ease between the refinement of classical music and the warmth of folklore, punctuating their dialogue with jazz improvisations and original compositions.
The vibrant roots of klezmer mingle with the enchanting scents of the Mediterranean coast, while bursts of Latin rhythms dance across the lands of romantic Europe.

Guillaume Martineau: piano
