Ran Wang and Annette Bauer revisit the Silk Road through music. Their journey invites listeners to follow a route stretching from China (200 BCE – April 9, CE) to Italy (early 15th century), passing through India. The program draws inspiration from landscapes an imaginary traveler might encounter. This musical journey is a conversation between the sounds of the instruments and the myriad vibrations of the strings, leaving room for improvisation and exploration.
Ran Wang – guzheng
Annette Bauer – sarod, recorders, duduk, and tabor
