Esteban is a Mexican classical guitarist and music educator, specializing in the interpretation and promotion of Mexican and Latin American repertoire.
During his stay at the Centre, he will develop the project “Mexican Art Song – A Vocal Experience in Montreal”. Focusing on pieces arranged by Mexican composer Manuel M. Ponce for voice and guitar, this work aims to convey the intimacy and vernacular aspect of this repertoire.
His residency will culminate in a series of public concerts, in collaboration with other Montreal artists.
