Détails de l'événement
Through the deep, resonant voice and remarkable tonal richness of the sarode, Atish Mukhopadhyay invites listeners into the intimate world of North Indian classical music. Rooted in the Maihar Seniya lineage and shaped by spontaneous improvisation, the music unfolds gradually through melody, rhythm, silence, and dialogue. As the performance progresses, the tabla joins the sarode, bringing rhythmic energy and an ever-evolving musical dialogue between melody and rhythm. Each raga becomes a journey created in the moment, revealing the sarode’s remarkable ability to express contemplation, intensity, tenderness, and joy.

The Intimate Concerts Series 2026-2027 in a few words
The Centre des musiciens du monde invites you to the Intimate Concerts series, launched in 2024 in the choir of Saint-Enfant-Jésus church, an exceptional venue with remarkable acoustics for rare moments of communion with music. With capacity limited to 50 seats, the intimate atmosphere is ideal for savouring every note and every breath, in a silence and resonance conducive to listening. Each evening explores an instrument and the culture it embodies, shining a light on traditional music passed down orally through generations. These interpretations, both respectful of heritage and marked by each artist’s own sensibility, weave a link between past and present. Come discover inspired melodies, ancestral harmonies, and sonic stories where the diversity of the world expresses itself in all its splendour. A rendezvous for the soul and the senses.
