Following the success of her first album, Levantine Rhapsody (Album of the Year, World Music category, Prix Opus 2020), Turkish-Canadian kanun virtuoso Didem Başar shares with her listeners her new compositions for kanun (Turkish zither) and string orchestra. Marrying the Turkish musical tradition (its modes and rhythms) with Western colours and sounds, this original project cross over centuries and cultures. Başar touches hearts with her powerful and sensitive playing. She travels the world with her music, bringing back all the beauty and variety sheencounters to offer it to us on stage!
